I also calculate my actions in a similar fashion (obviously the decisions and actions with greater impact, to a greater extend). But... my tongue... is prone to speak. Rabbi, I loved your words today. It was just what I needed. With all that's going on right now, I have used the idea that we all look at things in a different way and find meaning and understanding at our own Level. Especially being a teacher at this time and the struggles that parents are having, and teachers trying to help kids learn without being right in front of them is challenging. At Shavout, people spend time learning in groups sharing different perspectives and using "elbow partners and turn and talk" (teacher lingo) to politely share their view. I just concluded amy 37th year of teaching and I pray that Hashem gives me lots of wisdom to begin my 38th year in 2nd grade.I know that Hashem has given me the strength to teach for almost 4 months and now at this time I am going to sit and reflect on the what the commandments are telling me and the story of Ruth.
